Berklee Summer Programs presents a fingerstyle guitar clinic with Brooks Robertson.
Fingerstyle guitarist Robertson doesn't need much more than two thumbs, eight fingers, and six strings on a wooden box to carry his listeners away. A protégé of fingerstyle guitar legend Buster B. Jones, Robertson has performed at events such as the Nokie Music Fest, the NAMM Show, Musikmesse, the Montreal International Jazz Festival, the National Folk Festival, and the Guitar Festival of Ireland. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Germany, Ireland, and France to perform.
A full-tuition scholarship recipient, Robertson graduated with honors from Berklee in Boston in 2018 with a Bachelor of Music in professional music, focusing on contemporary writing and production, music business, and the theory of jazz and popular music. In addition to his extensive solo performance career, he has taught master classes, workshops, private lessons, and online courses for TrueFire. He has also served as an instructor at prestigious guitar camps across the country, including Tommy Emmanuel Guitar Camps, the Crown of the Continent Guitar Festival, and the Rocky Mountain Guitar Camp.
