Five-Week Showcase Concert
The Aspire: Five-Week Music Performance Intensive concert series shines the spotlight on students and their ensembles. This series is the culmination of five weeks of intensive music study demonstrating a love of music and extraordinary dedication to music education. These ensembles have various musical styles, including jazz, rock, funk, fusion, pop, salsa, and bluegrass.
Each summer, students have the opportunity to audition for instrumental showcase ensembles in the styles of jazz, rock, and funk fusion. After successfully completing two rounds of auditions, these ensembles are formed and rehearse intensely in preparation for the show.
Additionally, this evening’s program features performances by the Jazz Workshop Ensembles, Malifoli Ensemble, and Motown Ensemble.
