World Music Scoring Association
The World Music Scoring Association, founded in 2023, creates opportunities for student composers to learn how to write global music in an authentic way and apply it to media scoring and original compositions. Weekly meetings feature guest speakers, discussions, and more. WMSA also holds a semesterly concert showcasing new works written by club members. Meetings take place from 1–2 pm on Fridays at 150 Massachusetts Avenue, Room 172. To learn more, email us at wmsa@berklee.edu to be added to our newsletter. Follow us on Instagram @wmsaberklee, and join us on Fridays! Everyone is welcome!
Students wishing to connect WMSA with a specific composer or educator they would like to see as a speaker, or who are interested in presenting about their own knowledge, can contact us via email or send us a message on Instagram.

Mission and Vision
WMSA's purpose is to create an opportunity for student composers to learn how to write global music in an authentic way and apply it to media such as films, TV series, games, AR/VR, and interactive media, as well as original compositions. Students will have the chance to learn about the music industries of these cultures and give them a platform to showcase the knowledge that they have acquired through the club.
Core values include inclusivity, sharing, curiosity, and growth, as well as helping broaden each other's musical horizons. The club's goals will be achieved not only enthusiastically, but with the underlying spirit of community as we educate each other along the way. Every member will learn valuable skills to apply to their music and career—and feel like part of a bigger community which will support them in their endeavors. Members' impact will hopefully ripple through the Berklee community, bearing fruit to these endeavors, gaining access to events where this newfound knowledge will be presented, and possibly learning more about global music in the process.
