Orientation

All undergraduate study abroad students are required to attend several days of orientation activities on the Valencia campus before classes begin for the new semester. Orientation days are full of informative and fun events and activities to help you learn about the Berklee Valencia campus, get acquainted with the city, and meet other new students. During the orientation program, students will acclimate to remote and on-campus services, foster community through engaging programming and individualized support, and build connections to the Berklee Valencia campus community.

Orientation Schedule for Fall 2025

Student Move-in and Check-in: Tuesday, August 26, 2025 (all day)
Orientation Sessions and Activities: Wednesday, August 27, through Friday, August 29, 2025

A detailed orientation schedule for study abroad students will be available approximately two months before the new semester begins and will be linked to this page. 

When You First Arrive

On the semester move-in day noted above, students should proceed directly to the MiCampus Avenida del Puerto residence building, located at the following address in Valencia:

46021 Valencia, Spain

We recommend taking a taxi with your luggage. The cost of a taxi to the residence building will be about €30 from the Valencia Airport (VLC) or about €15 from the main railway and bus stations. You will check in with the front desk of the building to get your key card to access the building and your specific room. This address for the residence building will also be your mailing address while you are in Spain.  

During the two months before your semester begins, you will receive an email from Berklee about how to pay your refundable €500 security deposit to the building for your apartment. Follow the instructions provided in that email to pay your deposit online before you arrive. The deposit will be returned to you upon your departure from Valencia, provided that there is no damage to your room. 

Locations, Accessibility, and Accommodations

Orientation activities will primarily take place at the Berklee Valencia campus (located at Avenida Profesor López Piñero 1, Valencia) in the City of Arts & Sciences district of Valencia. The distance between the campus and the residence is approximately 15 minutes' walk, or 5 minutes by bike.
