About the Red Room at Cafe 939

Located in the heart of Boston's Back Bay, the Red Room at Cafe 939 is Berklee College of Music's intimate, all-ages live music venue, where audiences can discover rising stars, experience acclaimed artists up close, and enjoy exceptional live music in a setting unlike any other.

With a capacity of just 200, the Red Room has built an impressive reputation for showcasing remarkable talent, often before artists become household names. Tate McRae, FINNEAS, Hozier (with special guest Ed Sheeran), Leon Bridges, Tyler Childers, Young the Giant, Tori Kelly, and Snarky Puppy are among the notable artists who have appeared at the venue.

From indie rock and alternative to pop, soul, folk, jazz, and hip-hop, the Red Room's eclectic programming reflects Berklee's commitment to musical creativity and discovery. The venue also hosts special performances through the Berklee Signature Series, bringing acclaimed artists together with talented student musicians for one-of-a-kind musical experiences.
