Wilsen
Wilsen is the New York–based trio of Tamsin Wilson, Drew Arndt, and Johnny Simon.
Even in the frenetic metropolis of New York, there are moments of stillness. You must wait, but in the short window between closing time and the early-morning commute, you can find a period of pure, nocturnal solitude. I Go Missing in My Sleep, Wilsen’s debut full-length album, was born during these moments.
Ensconced in a tiny apartment in Brooklyn, Wilson would sit, wait for twilight, and begin molding her thoughts into fragments of song. The album came together as the band, along with producer Ben Baptie, began to add layers to Wilson’s compositions, recording in upstate New York and at the Farm Studio in rural Pennsylvania.
