Two Track: Upa and Friends (Virtual Concert)
Two Track is a music video series designed for Berklee’s YouTube and social media channels that features artists in an intimate setting with only one microphone and continuous camera takes. Each recording session will revolve around a single theme (i.e., connection, love, dreams) that can be expressed by the artist either through their track selection or through a short storytelling segment that will be recorded as part of the performance. The videos in this series will premiere at specific dates and times, but if you miss the premiere, each video will be public on the channel in continuity.
This week’s Two Track episode features singer-songwriter Upasak Mukherjee and friends.
About the Artist
Upasak Mukherjee is a tabla player, film composer, and producer from India. He has been a disciple of rhythm from a very early age, learning tabla from his guruji Subhen Chatterjee. Growing up, Upa was influenced by a wide variety of musical genres, which has kept him open to learning about new musical styles and instruments. Now at Berklee, he is pursuing his dream of scoring for films, while also playing with talented percussionists and drummers who share his childhood passion for composing rhythms. He auditioned for Berklee as a guitar principle, yet plans to continue his classical tabla studies.
