The Music of Resistance celebrates the power of song to inspire progress towards peace and justice with music from the 1940s to the present. This event is produced and directed by Celia Slattery, associate professor of voice, and Mark Shilansky, associate professor of ear training.
The production features Kris Adams, professor of harmony, alongside Voice Department faculty members Lydia Harrell, Rene Pfister, Kaoruko Yoshida-Pilkington, Adrian Sicam, Jennifer Truesdale, and Laura Vecchione. The band is led by Mark Shilansky (piano), with Youngchae Jeong (bass), Kevin Scollins (guitar), and Vlade Guigni (drums).
