The Gathering with Agent Katherine McVicker
This week's Gathering guest is Katherine McVicker, music agent and founder of the boutique music firm Music Works International (MWI). With agents based in Europe, the United States, and Latin America, MWI books over 600 performances annually worldwide and represents over 40 of the top jazz, Americana, and world music artists performing today. This roster includes many familiar names at Berklee, including Linda May Han Oh and Walter Smith III. For this Gathering, McVicker will lead students through her Anyone Can Book a Gig workshop.
The Gathering is an ongoing series presented by the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice. Events are open to the greater Berklee community and public, and feature performances, guest lectures, workshops, and discussions—all with gender and racial equity as a guiding principle.
