Berklee Summer Guitar Sessions presents a bluegrass clinic with Tony Watt. 2024 Mentor of the Year Award winner Tony Watt is a bluegrass guitarist and mandolinist who has performed throughout North America, across Europe, and on the Grand Ole Opry stage. His performance, jamming, and instructional videos on YouTube have amassed more than two million views.
Watt is an associate professor at Berklee College of Music, where he teaches bluegrass in the Ensemble Department and the American Roots Music Program. He also serves as president and education co-director of the Boston Bluegrass Union and hosts two guitar camps each year in Western Massachusetts.
Watt is also the host of Bluegrass Tuesdays, formerly held at the Cantab and Lily P's Fried Chicken in Cambridge, Massachusetts, one of the longest-running and most successful bluegrass nights in the country.
