It’s been three years since Sarah Simmons wowed her way onto the NBC reality show The Voice. Audiences reacted strongly to Sarah’s five-octave range and her uncanny ability to adapt to practically any genre of music. Though she didn’t win, the exposure has been its own reward, and her first full-length album is titled Freedom. A modern rock and pop powerhouse, Simmons can deliver the vocal thrills of Ann Wilson or the down-home grit of Grace Potter, all with the vulnerability and Southern sensibility all her own. If Janis Joplin were alive today, she’d find a soul sister in Sarah Simmons.

Alex2e (actual name Alex Tuohey) is an acoustic folk and pop artist from western Massachusetts. More importantly, Alex2e is a storyteller. In 2012, he picked up a guitar and started writing and performing original music. His songs connect to a variety of audiences, bridging the gap between folk and pop music, while drawing comparisons to artists and bands such as Jack Johnson, Mike Posner, and Dispatch. In just a few short years, Alex has played many notable venues. From local bars and taverns in New England, to concert venues in Chicago and New York City and festivals in the U.K., Alex has become a seasoned troubadour in his own right. Averaging roughly 80+ dates a year, supporting national acts such as Griffin House, Casey Abrams (of Postmodern Jukebox), and Joshua Davis (of The Voice) among others, he has proven himself a true musician, just beginning to make his mark.
