Roswitha tells the story of a 10th-century noblewoman who, after being forced into a loveless marriage, finds an outlet by writing plays. However, when one of her plays is performed without her knowledge, it turns her world upside down. She seeks refuge from her abusive husband in a convent, starts a new life, and becomes Roswitha—the first playwright of the Middle Ages.
This musical by Kevin Bleau and David Schrag, part of the Cabaret series, features a talented cast of Berklee students.
