Neyla Pekarek began playing cello at age 9 in her native Denver, Colorado. After earning a degree in music education at the University of Northern Colorado, she answered an ad for a local folk band needing a cello player. The band was the Lumineers, and she soon became a core member, playing on their Grammy-nominated, self-titled debut and follow-up album, as well as joining them on tour.

Pekarek is a member of Sweet Adelines International, a women’s barbershop quartet organization. She won the 2009 Rising Star championship with her quartet Vogue. When not making music, she enjoys collecting rubber stamps, true crime television, and spending time with her pet bunny Barbara.

Pekarek’s most recent album, Rattlesnake, was inspired by the life of Colorado pioneer woman Rattlesnake Kate, who was infamous in the 1920s for her death-defying encounter with a rattlesnake migration.

Grace Givertz is a Boston, Massachusetts–based indie-folk singer-songwriter. With a large voice packed into a tiny body, Givertz pairs witty and honest lyrics with various instruments to bring a refreshing sound to folk.
