Join us for an unforgettable evening of music and insight as alumni and Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation Recipient Nicolle Horbath with Latin Grammy and Grammy–nominee AleMor and manager Wizzmer share expertise on independent artists' management, music business, finances, and the art of co–creation. They will take us behind the making process of AleMor’s acclaimed Beautiful Humans album which has been nominated for a Grammy and Latin Grammy. Discover a new perspective on the music industry—one that celebrates collaboration and sharing over competition.

 

Nicolle Horbath

Nicolle Horbath is a Colombian singer-songwriter who skillfully weaves together jazz, pop, and the vibrant musical tapestry of the Caribbean and Latin America. Her innovative approach results in a contemporary yet refined sound that resonates not only in academic circles but also within the mainstream music industry. Boasting sold-out performances on both national and international stages, including the prestigious Latin Grammys 2022, Horbath has shared spotlight moments with notable artists such as Carlos Vives, Monsieur Periné, Nicky Jam, Emily Stefan, Tony Succar, and Chucho Valdés.

Recognized for her talent and dedication to her craft, Horbath was honored in 2018 with the Prodigy Scholarship 2018 from the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation, a distinction supported by Carlos Vives. This scholarship served as a pivotal stepping stone, covering her entire musical journey at Berklee College of Music, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on Film Scoring and Songwriting.
 

AleMor

A Colombian singer-songwriter based in Miami, AleMor has made a significant impact in the music industry with her unique blend of genres like R&B, soul, jazz, and bolero. She began her music education at Berklee College of Music and finished at Miami-Dade College. Her versatile voice and ability to sing in Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese, as well as the mesmerizing trumpet sounds she summons with her mouth, captivates audiences worldwide. AleMor has received two Latin Grammy nominations—in 2021 for her debut EP Alemorología in the Best Singer-Songwriter Album category and in 2023 for her album Beautiful Humans Vol. 1 in the Best Vocal Pop Album category. Additionally, she received a Grammy nomination in the Best Latin Pop Album category.

 

Wizzmer

Wizzmer is a multifaceted musician, producer, and manager who has seamlessly blended tradition with innovation in the world of music. Wizzmer serves as the driving force behind the Miami Heat's House Band, "Los Wizzards," where his musical prowess sets the stage ablaze. As the manager of Grammy nominee AleMor, Wizzmer has not only showcased his keen understanding of the music industry but has also played a pivotal role in Alemor's success.

In addition to his artistic pursuits, Wizzmer is the visionary behind a thriving music community. Through his Jam Session events, he provides a platform for independent musicians and singer-songwriters to showcase their talents on stage, fostering a vibrant and collaborative environment. Furthermore, Wizzmer, in collaboration with AleMor, co-founded Wizzmor Inc., an independent label that has become the umbrella for their community-based initiatives in Miami. Through this venture, Wizzmer continues to champion a culture of artistic expression, creativity, and mutual support within the music scene.
