Meghan Downing is a country singer-songwriter from Santa Barbara, California, whose love for music started early—at just four years old, she picked up a fiddle, and she’s been making music ever since. Over the years, she’s become a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, banjo, and piano, all while developing a folk-country voice influenced by artists like Megan Moroney, Chris Stapleton, and Bonnie Raitt.
Music holds deeply personal meaning for Downing. At age nine, she was diagnosed with a rare progressive retinal condition that left her legally blind. Rather than letting it hold her back, she leaned into music even more, learning everything by ear and letting instinct guide her sound. She often says music has been a source of comfort throughout her life, and now she hopes to bring that same comfort to others.
On stage, Downing creates an environment that feels warm, genuine, and fun. Whether through heartfelt lyrics or lighthearted moments with the audience, she believes music is about connection—sharing stories, emotions, and experiences that bring people together.
So whether you’re here for the music, the stories, or just a good time, Downing invites you to sit back, enjoy, and be part of the journey.
