Max Raabe and Palast Orchester
Max Raabe and his 12-piece Palast Orchester bring Weimar-era cabaret to life by meticulously re-creating music of the 1920s and '30s with elegance, verve, and humor.
In the critically acclaimed show Let's Do It, the German band takes on the American Songbook with a program stacked with standards such as “Stormy Weather,” “Over My Shoulder,” and “Who's Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf,” along with the German counterparts written in the late '20s.
Hilarious songs such as “When I Need Love, I Go to Pauline,” romances such as “Women Are So beautiful When They Love,” and classics such as Kurt Weill's “Bilbao Song” are cleverly woven into a highly entertaining evening.
