It’s not uncommon to find Maggie Koerner performing on stage with a list of iconic acts including Widespread Panic, Gov’t Mule, and Charles Bradley. The Shreveport-born singer-songwriter spent the majority of 2013 and 2014 as the lead singer and frontwoman for the legendary New Orleans-based funk band, Galactic. After spending 2015 on the road and in the studio, Koerner released her Dig Down Deep EP on R’COUP’D / Ninja Tune in December 2016, produced by esteemed UK producer Fink (Amy Winehouse, John Legend, Banks). Koerner is already working on her next record, which could be described as a marriage between her signature soulful voice, hard-hitting beats, and complex sonic production, all blended into a beautiful, dance-worthy masterpiece.

More than a dozen years into his acclaimed career, singer-songwriter Chris Kasper gets back to the bluesy basics with his fifth album, O, the Fool, which was inspired by Delta blues, folk music, and string arrangements from Hollywood film scores. Kasper spent much of his adulthood on the road, traveling from city to city, building his fanbase one show at a time. Meanwhile, his friends back home were putting down roots and starting families of their own. Kasper couldn't help but question his own choices, and it's that swirl of contrasting feelings—uncertainty, determination, and wanderlust—that fueled O, the Fool.
