Las Guaracheras, a Latin music sextet from Cali, Colombia, will present a workshop-performance exploring how Colombian and Latin American folkloric rhythms can be incorporated, reimagined, and transformed through the language of salsa. Drawing from the ensemble’s own repertoire and creative process, the session will highlight percussion as the structural backbone of their arrangements, shaping groove, musical intention, and the group’s distinctive sonic identity.
