Four years ago, Jon McLaughlin’s Island Records debut propelled his song “Beautiful Disaster” up the charts, with “Beating My Heart” following quickly after. Hollywood immediately took notice of the young songwriter and used several pieces of his music for films and commercials. McLaughlin was offered a role in the hit film Enchanted, performing a song that was later nominated for an Academy Award. In 2008, he found himself onstage at the Oscars reprising the tune in front of 32 million U.S. viewers. In between the hit songs and television appearances, true to his hardworking Midwestern roots, McLaughlin spent his nights opening for the likes of Sara Bareilles and Kelly Clarkson, and recording with Jason Mraz and writing for other artists.

Katrina Woolverton is an American singer-songwriter and recording artist from Los Angeles, California. She rose to fame in 2011 with the release of her debut album In the Blink of an Eye that featured three charting singles, "Shame on Me," "OPM," and "So Eden." Woolverton was named iHeartRadio's "Artist to Watch" in 2011 and was the opening act in the U.S. for Meatloaf during the Mad, Mad World Tour 2012. In 2012 and 2013, she released two stand-alone singles, "Watch Me Walk Away" (#43 Billboard Hot AC) the only non-Woolverton composition she has recorded (originally penned by Katy Perry along with cowriters Charlie Midnight and Holly Knight), and "Ready to Love," collaborating with electropop producer/remixer Frankmusik.
