In a concert honoring Martin Luther King Jr., vocalist Nichelle Mungo performs with the Jeremy Turgeon Quintet.
Mungo is a multiyear Grammy Music Educator nominee, three-time winner of Showtime at the Apollo, multiyear recipient of the Best Artist Award (gospel and R&B) from the New England Urban Music Awards, and recipient of the Berklee Urban Service Award.
Mungo is a recording artist, educator, songwriter, and choral director, is an assistant professor at Berklee in the Voice and Ensemble departments. She is a backing vocalist for the legendary H. Doobie Powell and a member of the Glory Gospel Singers.
