Don’t miss this evening of original music by contemporary performance graduate students, featuring string arrangements by students in the scoring for film, television, and video games graduate program.
In addition, two students from the First Year Abroad program, on trumpet and baritone saxophone, along with two local string players, will join the contemporary performance students on stage.
The concert brings together artists representing more than 15 nationalities, highlighting the diversity of Berklee’s talented musicians.
Led by program director Olga Román, students have taken the lead as arrangers and musical directors. The repertoire will also feature a reimagined arrangement of Gregory Porter’s “Illusions,” which gives the concert its name; “Pomba Branca,” an emblematic Portuguese song; and “Chiraj,” by Ralph Lavital.
