Pianist, composer, and arranger Hiroshi Uenohara presents original compositions and arrangements, as well as jazz standards by his quartet. He blends a wide variety of music with a signature sound that is expressive and imaginative.
In 2014, Uenohara won first prize at the Wildflower Music Showcase International Recording Competition for professional jazz piano, and first prize in jazz composition divisions at the Niigata Jazz Contest in 2015. He is studying composition and arranging of jazz music at Berklee College of Music. One of his compositions was selected for the Best of Jazz Composition in the fall of 2016.
