Greek Music Ensemble CD Release Concert

The Greek Music Ensemble and a 15-member orchestra presents unique arrangements of Manos and Mikis songs that bring out the stylistic subtleties, beauty, and idiosyncrasy of the music.
The ensemble will celebrate the music of Mikis Theodorakis and Manos Hadjidakis, two major figures of Greek 20th century art music who successfully married poetry with music for more than 50 years. Much of this music features lyrics from the verses of great Greek poets, including Nobel laureates Odysseus Elytis and Giorgos Seferis.
The ensemble is releasing its second CD, Manos and Mikis.
