giAnna is a solo project brought to life on stage with a full band, blending Philadelphian soulful R&B vocals and hypnotic harmonies with a mix of midwest emo, indie pop/rock, and alt-folk. Her sound is both fresh and nostalgic, resonating across generations. Through storytelling lyrics and infectious melodies, giAnna explores themes of self-reflection, human existence, and emotional estrangement with honesty and nuance.
Raised in South Jersey, giAnna spent her youth gigging alongside her father and regularly performing national anthems for Philadelphia sports teams. Influenced by artists such as PRONOUN, Yebba, Theo Katzman, Slow Pulp, and her Beatles-loving dad—who loaded her iPod Touch with the entire Beatles discography—giAnna’s music is a rich reflection of her upbringing, identity, and emotional depth.
For giAnna, music has always been the clearest way to express herself and connect with her inner child. Her goal as an artist is to reach listeners on a spiritual and emotional level—provoking thought, fostering inspiration, and instilling hope.
