In this clinic, Alejandro Santos will develop an analysis of his compositions and work with students to interpret these very special rhythms with the appropriate improvisational freedom and creativity, fusing them with modern jazz.
Carrying in his blood by maternal line the surname D’Arienzo (a famous Argentine tango orchestra conductor), Santos has participated in the development of Argentine music alongside the greatest artists of folklore and tango. He combines that traditional training with jazz and has played in fusion groups with Al Di Meola, Anthony Jackson, Polo Orti, Bob Moses, and others.
