Led by dance faculty member Nino de los Reyes with the support of Boston Conservatory and Berklee Global, this performance is the vibrant conclusion of a week-long residency exploring flamenco as a catalyst for modern artistic creation. The recital portrays collaborative innovation developed between dancers and musicians by approaching flamenco as a tool for artistic creation and interdisciplinary dialogue.
This performance features world-class musicians and dancers alongside students from Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee. It includes the participation of special guest artists from Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Fortea in Madrid, Spain: Luis Gallo (guitar), Pedro Obregón (voice), and Sonia Cuesta (dance). The evening is further enriched by collaborations with Berklee College of Music faculty member Olivia Pérez-Collellmir (Contemporary Spanish/Flamenco Music Ensemble) and dancer Triana Maciel.
