The seed for Drunken Logic was planted when frontman Jake Cassman walked away from an Ivy League education, determined to forge what music blog Sound of Boston would go on to describe as a "surprisingly cohesive blend of pop punk and emotionally-charged folk rock.” The band first formed at Berklee College of Music in 2012, and ever since, Drunken Logic has been brewing a powder keg of eclectic influences and potent, topical lyrics in their shoddy Boston apartments.

Accolades and accomplishments quickly followed the 2013 release of their debut album, Something New to Burn—they rocked AT&T Park (home of the San Francisco Giants), were named RAW:Boston’s 2013 Musicians of the Year, opened for Ed Kowalcyzk (formerly of Live), and were selected for a slot in Berklee’s 2014 CMJ Showcase. The band recently released their second album, Long Day’s Journey to the Middle, which independent music source Speak Into My Good Eye described as “a complete and sprawling thought...[that]...is not only worthy of repeat listens, it requires them.” Their music video for the song, "This Side or the Other" was selected to the Southeast New England Film Festival.

Drunken Logic enjoy a unique and formidable live chemistry honed during busking performances at Boston's Faneuil Hall, which hosts 18 million visitors annually. Cassman, talented multi-instrumentalist Ryan Jordan '13, and virtuosic guitarist Austin Wells have built upon and added to an already ambitious artistic vision. Drunken Logic are constantly reinventing their brand of music while battling the elements of contemporary America — and loving every minute of it.
