Devon Welsh(Opens in a new window) is a singer-songwriter and artist based in Montreal, Canada. He released two critically acclaimed albums as the front man of Majical Cloudz, an electronic duo whose intense and innovative music combined aspects of poetry, hardcore, minimalism, and folk.
Appearing as part of a limited set of four performances this summer, Welsh debuts his new solo project—one that steps out of the strict aesthetic established in Majical Cloudz while continuing and expanding on that project’s core ideas. His new songs are a series of reflections on themes: time, separation, the complexities of love, will, eternal life, and the seasons.
Nick Schofield(Opens in a new window), a musician, producer, and radio host in Montreal, released his debut solo album Water Sine in May. He performs and records with Best Fern, Saxsyndrum, and Rêves Sonores, as well as touring with Welsh and Majical Cloudz.
