About the Artists

Christina Jones is an aspiring musical theater artist, musician, and voice actress studying musical theater at Boston Conservatory at Berklee, with a specialization in songwriting. She has been singing ever since she was a little girl, starting in school and church and working her way up to bigger performances over the years. She has participated and competed in both local and national competitions such as the St. Louis Teen Talent Competition (winner in 2017), American Idol (season 13), and Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater in Harlem. She has participated in theatrical work on and offline, including but not limited to shows such as Cabaret (ensemble), Shrek the Musical (Dragon), Big Fish (the Witch and Josephine), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Peasblossom and the Fairy), and For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/ When the Rainbow is Enuf (Lady in Yellow). She is expected to play one of the Hunnies girls in Jelly’s Last Jam at New Repertory Theater in Watertown, Massachusetts, and Charlaine Woodard in Ain’t Misbehavin’ at Central Square Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2021. Currently, she is collaborating with Kimiko Ishizaka on her first album, You Were My Compass, which is set to be released in June. The album is available for preorder on her website now. When she is not focused on school, she can be found writing poetry and creating covers for her weekly series on Instagram called Saturday Jazz.

Sarah Katherine Lawless, an artist originally from Northern Virginia, is currently working towards a B.F.A. in Musical Theater at Boston Conservatory at Berklee with an emphasis in songwriting and a minor in creative entrepreneurship. Lawless strives to create all types of art in an intuitive, inclusive, diverse, collaborative, and imaginative world. She is so very excited to be performing with Christina and is honored to represent the Conservatory. Her most recent theater credits include Fugitive Songs (Annie’s Party and Poor Little Patty), Fraulein Schneider in Cabaret, #25 in The Wolves, Titus Andronicus in Titus Andronicus and Mama Bear in Shrek the Musical (Voted Best Musical Production of the Decade by Broadway World).
