Cece Coakley is a rising singer-songwriter living in Nashville, Tennessee, whose music blends indie pop, folk, and country influences into a heartfelt, melodic sound. With introspective songwriting and a laid-back vocal delivery, Coakley has quickly made a name for herself in the indie music scene as a revered artist and songwriter. Her 2022 debut EP, Tender, was written while she was living at home with her parents in Knoxville, Tennessee—a time of deep personal reflection and creative growth. She has since gone on to release two projects, Happy Adjacent and Soft Again, following her move to Nashville.
Coakley has spent much of her budding career on the road, supporting artists such as Medium Build, Stephen Sanchez, Field Guide, and most recently Hazlett and Nell Mescal. Touring has allowed her to connect with audiences across the country, further developing her artistry and confidence as a performer. Coakley is set to release her next EP, Pleasant Attack, on March 6, which includes songs such as “Pleasant Attack,” “Marionette,” “Personified,” and “Future Tense,” among others. The EP was produced by her frequent collaborator, Sam Westhoff. With her distinctive blend of indie pop and country-tinged storytelling, Coakley is proving to be one of the most compelling new voices in the indie-folk scene, carving out a path that feels entirely her own.
Horsepower is the New York-based indie rock project of songwriter and performer Charlotte Weinman, who brings a distinct narrative intuition and "thespian flair" to the stage. With a background in playwriting, Weinman crafts songs that function as emotional dramas, pairing heavy, fuzzed-out guitars with vulnerable, specific lyricism. Often describing herself as a "(mostly) reformed horse girl," she translates that trademark youthful intensity into a "slow burn" musical style that finds power in restraint and clarity rather than typical melodrama.
Since debuting the moniker in early 2025, Horsepower has gained traction for a sound that turns internal conflict into a sense of comfort. Her recent singles, including "Are You Blushing?" and the steady, emotive "Excalibur," showcase an artist capable of balancing high-volume energy with earnest storytelling. Whether through her newsletter or her live performances, Horsepower creates an immersive world of volume and earnestness that is quickly making her a standout voice in the NYC indie scene.
