Blanco White / Malena Zavala
Blanco White started as the solo project of London native Josh Edwards in 2014. After studying guitar in Cádiz, Spain, and later the charango (an Andean instrument) in Sucre, Bolivia, Edwards sought to bring elements of Andalusian and Latin American music alongside influences closer to home.
In early 2016, Blanco White released The Wind Rose, a self-produced debut EP, through Yucatan Records. A second EP, Colder Heavens, was later recorded with producer Ian Grimble (Bear’s Den, Matt Corby, Daughter) and released in 2017.
Malena Zavala is an Argentinian artist, producer, and filmmaker. Influenced by guitar players such as Blake Mills and Devendra Banhart, as well as the psychedelic and dreamy sounds of Tame Impala and Beach House, Zavala explores a free thinking and forgiving approach to her work.
