Blanche J / Micki Miller
With touches of neo-soul, R&B, and gospel, Blanche J has created her own genre, which she calls soul funk.
Blanche J has performed with artists such as Kim Burrell, Blanche McAllister-Dykes, Jessica Reedy, Kirk Franklin, and Kefia Rollerson. In 2013, she released her first EP, iAmMuziq. In September 2019, she released her latest album, voice memos b, which spent three consecutive weeks at no. 1 on the Global Soul Charts in the United Kingdom.
Since releasing her first EP, Love Letters, in 2013, Micki Miller has been touring the world and spreading love through R&B and soul.
Her 2016 release, Summertime Chi., reached no. 10 on the iTunes R&B and soul charts. In 2017, Miller released IMAGINE via social media, and the following year embarked on the Crew Love Tour with Venzella Joy, an indie artist and drummer for Beyoncé.
In 2018, the Micki Miller Ensemble was formed at Berklee College of Music, under the direction of Tia Fuller, an ensembles professor at the college and a 2019 Grammy nominee.
