"Qantara," which means arch, brings to life a vision for the unbridled fusion of world jazz, Middle Eastern, and Latin American music, to transcend the boundaries of genre and geography. Its motto: one planet one music.
The music program of Qantara Ensemble consists of originals by ensemble director and students and traditional genres from around the world. Additionally, the art of Improvisation is a central element in most of the compositions.
World jazz fusion is an organic fusion and meeting of various musical styles from different parts of the world.
