Full Biography

Sarah Kroesser Nichols, MEd, LICSW, is the director of counseling & advocacy services at Berklee College of Music. As a former special education & music teacher and licensed independent clinical social worker, Sarah is dedicated to the belief in an individual's capacity for change at any stage of life. 

Her clinical approach is rooted in solution-focused strategies, integrating methodologies from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and general psychiatric management. With 20 years of experience and training at McLean Psychiatric Hospital, Sarah has worked in educational and clinical environments serving students and young adults in multiple settings, including her prior work across school districts in Boston and New York City. Before her current role, she was a founding member of Cartwheel, a startup that provides mental health care to students and families through school district partnerships. In her private practice, Sarah provides care to children, young adults, families, and couples.
