Welcome New Alumni
A Message to the Class of 2015
Congratulations on your graduation this May! You’ve now joined the impressive roster of Berklee alumni. Here is what will be available to you through the Office of Alumni Affairs.
Retiring your Berklee.edu email address
As a graduate of Berklee College of Music, you receive a Berklee branded alumni email account hosted by Gmail. Berklee.edu email accounts are reserved just for current students, staff, and faculty so be sure to activate your alumni.berklee.edu email to stay up-to-date on all alumni happenings and to stay connected to your classmates. For more information, please reach out to email@example.com.
Staying Connected with Berklee
The Office of Alumni Affairs distributes a monthly e-newsletter to alumni. Included are details of upcoming events in various areas, online presentations, job opportunities, and news at Berklee. We also have a presence on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, as well as our own alumni website at berklee.edu/alumni. Berklee Today, the alumni magazine, is a great way to keep up with your fellow alumni and share news of your latest happenings in the AlumNotes section. Berklee Today is available online at berklee.edu/berklee-today/archives.
Professional Development and Networking Opportunities
The Office of Alumni Affairs hosts events all over the United States, mostly in our alumni centers: Boston, New York, and Los Angeles, which allows alumni to reconnect and meet new friends. Past events have included a music industry panel at Sony Music via live streaming; networking events in LA and NYC; alumni receptions during AES, NAMM, and GDC; alumni showcases during CMJ and SXSW; and the annual alumni holiday parties.
Exclusive Access to Job Opportunities
Alumni have access to the online jobs board available through the Berklee Career Manager. Combining the Music Network exclusive job and gig board with a comprehensive listing from Indeed.com, the job board at the Berklee Career Manager lists thousands of opportunities in one convenient place.
Make a Difference
Current and prospective students need to hear from alumni in music and business. Keeping your contact information up to date with the Office of Alumni Affairs allows you the opportunity to give back by serving on an alumni panel, participating on an alumni advisory committee, or interacting with students as a mentor (ProNet) or an alumni clinician. Alumni are a valued resource to those who are following on similar paths.
Just as your Berklee experience was shaped in part by the generosity of alumni before you, we hope you will consider supporting Berklee students with a gift to the Berklee Fund. The Berklee Fund supports scholarships, facility improvements, new technology, and so much more. Alumni giving makes Berklee stronger, something all members of this community can celebrate.
Berklee offers one-year masters programs in Global Entertainment and Music Business; Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games; Electronic Production and Design; Music Production, Technology, and Innovation; and Contemporary Performance (Production Concentration) on our Valencia campus, and programs in Contemporary Performance (Global Jazz Concentration) and Music Therapy on our Boston campus. For more information about these programs, please visit www.berklee.edu/graduate.
Berklee Online offers alumni a 10 percent discount on award-winning online courses. So, no matter where you are, Berklee can continue to help you learn and grow.
Berklee’s alumni community is 50,000 strong and we look forward to helping you continue your relationships with each other and the college. For any questions, contact the Office of Alumni Affairs directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or stop by our office, located on the third floor of 161 Massachusetts Avenue.
Congratulations once again, and welcome to the Berklee alumni community!
