Pianist Emmet Cohen has a gift—rare in any era—for making a concert ticket feel like a party invitation. His widely beloved Live from Emmet's Place webcasts, filmed in his Harlem apartment, welcomed millions to jazz with music that's alive, joyful, and utterly irresistible. When Cohen and his trio play in concert halls, the sound is bigger and more expansive, but the welcome is just as genuine. Joining Cohen's trio is vocalist Georgia Heers—featured in Broadway's Good Night, and Good Luck—whose velvety, luminous voice is steeped in jazz tradition yet entirely her own.
