Barbershop Club

Founded at Berklee in 2019

The purpose of the Barbershop Club at Berklee is to bring together students interested in close harmony vocal music, to collaborate on learning barbershop tags and pieces, and to share our talent and love of close harmony vocal music with the Berklee and Boston communities. Throughout the academic year, the Barbershop Club will rehearse barbershop style arrangements and original pieces as a four-part chorus, with the intention of performing throughout the Back Bay.

In addition to a chorus with open membership, the Barbershop Club assists in the creation and molding of new barbershop quartets, for both the purposes of spreading harmony and for competition. The Barbershop Club intends to use the unique sound of close harmony music to engage in the community and participate in regional barbershop events.
