SAP Dismissal

Undergraduate Student Dismissal

If a student falls below Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) metrics multiple times and has previously been reinstated to the college, they are placed on SAP Dismissal. Students at the level of SAP Dismissal are ineligible for future semesters of enrollment and financial aid eligibility at the college.

Dismissed students are prohibited from enrolling at Berklee (including Berklee College of Music, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and Berklee Online), using campus facilities, participating in any on-campus class, ensemble, program, trip, or event, and are ineligible to receive any financial aid, student employment, grants, or scholarships.

Dismissed undergraduate students may submit an inquiry about their dismissal status(Opens in a new window) to be reviewed for continued enrollment eligibility.

Graduate Student Dismissal

Graduate students may be dismissed from their graduate program if they fail to meet all GPA and grade requirements for their program after notification of academic warning. Graduate students may also be dismissed from their program without warning in the event that they receive two or more grades of "F" in a single semester. Students dismissed from their programs are ineligible for future semesters of enrollment and financial aid eligibility at the college.

Dismissed graduate students are prohibited from enrolling at Berklee (including Berklee College of Music, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and Berklee Online), using campus facilities, participating in any on-campus class, ensemble, program, trip, or event, and are ineligible to receive any financial aid, student employment, grants, or scholarships.

Dismissed graduate students may submit an inquiry about their dismissal status to the Graduate Studies department at graduatestudies@berklee.edu.
