Berklee’s Bruno Mars Ensemble will host a Signature Series performance honoring the Grammy Award–winning artist on Thursday, February 8 at 8:00 p.m. at the Berklee Performance Center. The Bruno Mars Tribute Show will be directed by Tia Fuller, an acclaimed saxophonist and ensemble professor at Berklee who has performed with Beyoncé, Aretha Franklin, Jay-Z, Jill Scott, Patti LaBelle, and Erykah Badu, among others.

The ensemble is composed of more than a dozen Berklee singers and musicians, along with dancers from Boston Conservatory at Berklee. The group will perform popular hits by Mars, including “Uptown Funk,” “Runaway Baby,” “24K Magic,” and other music from the superstar singer. Mars is one of the most influential musicians in the world, having won five Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards, three Guinness World Records, and a place on the Forbes 2013 “30 Under 30” list.

“Bruno Mars is a spirited, high-energy performer who excels in creating music that can be enjoyed by all,” said Fuller. “We are thrilled to celebrate his incredible career and honor his legacy with this talented group of musicians in the Bruno Mars Ensemble. The students have gone above and beyond the call of duty to assure an extraordinary performance, reflective of an A-list tour.”

Fuller previously directed a sold-out Signature Series at Berklee performance with her Beyoncé Ensemble and Beyoncé’s original all-female band in March 2017.

Tickets for the Mars tribute will be $8 in advance, and $12 on the day of the performance; they are available online and at Berklee Performance Center box office.
