Maggie MacKenzie is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter in the pop-folk space writing vivid, personal songs that deeply resonate with listeners. MacKenzie grew up singing and performing in all kinds of settings, but did not start writing music until she began her studies at Berklee College of Music, where she is currently studying songwriting, vocal performance, and music business. She has been influenced by artists like Sara Bareilles, James Taylor, Bruno Major, and many others throughout the years. Her goal is to be able to communicate emotionally layered stories through her music in a way that makes the listeners feel seen and understood. She has collaborated with other artists in the Berklee community to co-write, compose vocal arrangements, and help bring their own work to life. Her first co-writing credit is a song that is being released in July with singer-songwriter Kaylub. She is credited on multiple musical theater albums on Spotify and made her professional theatrical debut in New York City in May 2023 with Diary of a Payphone written by Alexandra Bellhaven. She also helped lead the original cast recording for Howard Godfrey’s Mine ‘Till the End. She has helped with award-winning vocal arrangements for the highly notable and competitive a cappella group Upper Structure. MacKenzie hopes to continue to perform her music live in the future and to share her music with the world.
