Cleo Reed
Featuring exuberant, atmospheric, and smoky vocals that induce listeners into a hypnotic state, Cleo Reed is a genre-bending alternative R&B artist. Hailing from Washington, D.C., and New York City, Reed has dedicated her time to DJing and being a founding member of the all-female dream punk band, Pretty Sick, for which she is a bassist and vocalist who produces and writes her own music.
During her tenure with Pretty Sick, Reed and the band amassed several Battle of the Bands victories, performing shows at Webster Hall, the Bowery Electric, and Mercury Lounge. While creating music with Pretty Sick, she released the single “Drive Me Down” as her first independent project under the name Ella, garnering more than 24,000 plays.
Reed is studying electronic production and design at Berklee College of Music. By the end of summer 2018, she released her debut single, an A-side/B-side track titled “Vulnerable / Change My Mind” on all streaming platforms. By the end of this summer, Reed aims to release the track “Shut It Down,” coproduced by SportingLife, with an accompanying music video.
