A native of Puerto Rico, José Ramos Santana is widely acclaimed for his colorful and penetrating performances and is an acknowledged master of Spanish music. He is the recipient of the prestigious Isaac Albéniz Medal in Spain and artistic director of the Puerto Rico International Piano Festival. He has appeared with the New York Philharmonic, the American Composers Orchestra in Carnegie Hall, the Royal Philharmonic of London, and the Detroit, Baltimore, and St. Louis symphonies, among many others. The program will include six pieces from Iberia by Isaac Albéniz and works by Chopin.
