A Message to Prospective DACA/Undocumented Immigrant Students

For many undocumented students already living in the U.S., the decision to go to college in this country is the natural next step in their educational journey. For those students, we want to highlight our long history of multicultural inclusivity; we welcome and nurture musicians and performing artists from cultures domestic and global.

The documentation status of prospective students is never considered in their application to Berklee. To be clear, you do not need to be a documented immigrant or a citizen of the United States to be considered for acceptance to Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Further, our merit-based scholarships are awarded without regard to immigration status.

There is truly no better place than Berklee for a musician, dancer, or actor to meet other students, alumni, and faculty members who will inspire you, challenge you, collaborate with you on your projects, and become artistic partners throughout your career. Wherever you are, and whatever your immigration status, I look forward to welcoming you to Berklee and to Boston.

Sincerely,

Roger H. Brown
President, Berklee
