Berklee Indian Cultural Association

The Berklee Indian Cultural Association (BICS) is a student-run club founded in May 2023 to educate and celebrate the richness of Indian culture with the Berklee community. The club is dedicated to host many entertaining small and large scale events.

The copresidents of the club envision BICA to be a community that celebrates the Indian culture. As Berklee students, the community has noticed there were minimal to no Indian events hosted. The club wants to see more of these events and decided to be the change.

Mission

The purpose of this club is to promote Indian culture and community engagement, serve as a channel for representation of the culture, and promote a greater appreciation for the culture. The club will also be providing support to members of the club by hosting their own events. Students will be given the opportunity to be involved in Indian festivals close to their hearts when they are away from home. The vision is to create avenues for all to celebrate the various regions of India culturally. Through events, students will be provided a way to learn and engage in cultural activities and festivities, whilst creating a space for students with Indian heritage to feel at home.

Vision

Our vision is to create avenues for everyone who belongs to the Berklee community to celebrate the diverse nature of the Indian culture to the fullest. The club creates opportunities to educate and engage in cultural festivities while creating a space for students to connect with the culture.
