The Berklee Institute for Creative Entrepreneurship (BerkleeICE) is a network of creative change-makers who share the common belief that the artistic process and the entrepreneurial journey share the same DNA.
The Open Music Initiative is a nonprofit initiative of Berklee College of Music, founded by BerkleeICE in partnership with the MIT Media Lab and a number of other leading media industry and academic institutions. Open Music's goal is to identify gaps in the music ecosystem that, when corrected, would result in additional compensation flowing to music creators and contributors.
Berklee is committed to proactively exploring how these new technologies can transform the creative industries and to developing new programs and initiatives that prepare Berklee graduates to become the artists creating at the forefront of this industry.
The Berklee Music and Health Institute engages the innovative ecosystem of academic, artistic, scientific, entrepreneurial, and technological talent, bringing together the most creative minds to help accelerate ideation and develop solutions that can improve health and wellbeing for individuals and communities. Launched with seed funding from the Barr Foundation, the institute explores the intersections of music, medicine, and health, and partners with experts in academia, science, business, technology, and the music industry.
