Biography

Rob Hayes came to Berklee in 1992 from the high-tech public relations firm Miller Communications to lead Berklee's Media Relations office, where he drove major coverage of the college by NPR, CNN, Rolling Stone, the Associated Press, and the New York Times.

In 1996, Hayes began developing Berklee’s student performance, touring, and broadcasting operation, Berklee Presents, which now produces dozens of major-venue performances and broadcasts nationally each year. In 2010, he began touring the Berklee Silent Film Orchestra, the college’s award-winning silent-film music performance ensemble. Today, Hayes oversees Berklee Presents; the BIRN, the college’s five-channel Internet radio station; and its Media Relations office.
