Heather Reid has extensive leadership experience in academic libraries, information technology, and publishing. At Harvard University, she held positions in library systems development and academic technology management. Upon leaving Harvard, she joined a major publisher of academic and research databases where she oversaw product creation and maintenance.
Prior to joining Berklee, Reid was senior director of data systems at Copyright Clearance Center, which provides copyright management solutions for publishers. Reid has served as chair of the National Information Standards Organization and has been active in the development of many information standards. She also served as an advisor to the U.S. Copyright Office on data systems and data management.
