Berklee's new 16-story mixed-use tower has some fancy neighbors on the American Institute of Architects' annual list of best housing designs. A Huffington Post photo gallery showcases the ten 2015 National Housing Award award winners, which include Berklee's tower in the specialized housing category.

“Berklee needed to house more of its students, a great new performance venue, and the world's best studio complex in a custom-designed space,” reflected Berklee President Roger H. Brown, on his ideas for a new building. “We invited our students for discussions with architect William Rawn so that they too could tell us what was needed from a new facility. The result is much more than a typical dorm, and it suits our community perfectly with an environment to inspire collaboration, creativity, and music-making around the clock. This building couldn’t belong to anyone else but Berklee.”
