A reporter from the Boston Business Jounal finds Berklee's numbers impressive in all aspects of its operations, from revenue to enrollment to returns on its $321 million endowment, at a time when many colleges are languishing under precarious economic forces and uncertain enrollment trends. Some of the success, the reporter notes, is due to expanding the college's reach with online courses and degrees, among other avenues, and an applicant pool that has doubled in the last 10 years.
