Inspired by Berklee is a partnership between Berklee and Inspired Education Group, a leading global network of 65 premium schools. The goal of the partnership is to provide Inspired students with the creative skills and mindsets needed to succeed, lead, and innovate in a fast-paced, 21st-century economy.
The program aims to set new standards in creative and performing arts education for teachers and students through engagement with Berklee’s award-winning faculty, student, and alumni base. Extending beyond a traditional performing arts curriculum, the partnership will encompass technology, media production, and creative entrepreneurship education while also enriching Inspired schools’ current music, dance and theater offerings.
Inspired by Berklee aims to develop the creative capacity of Inspired schools’ pupils using an inclusive methods that engages the broadest number and range of students to enhance the quality of the network’s performing arts curriculum while building on the Inspired key elements framework, and to elevate the quality of Inspired schools’ performing arts instructors.
Program skills building includes the following:
- Listening: analytical skills, critical thinking, collaboration, and language
- Creating: problem solving, conceptual thinking, personal expression, iterating, solo work and teamwork, and computer literacy
- Performing: confidence building, public speaking skills, communication, project management, planning, negotiation, and respect for others
